What do I need to purchase a car?
You need to be at least 18 years of age with valid i.d.
You need a drivers license or passport from any country.
Current insurance with proof of policy or i.d. card.

How hard is it to get approved for credit?
It's easy and simple, just a one page credit application (available right here.) You can download or print it. You can also call the office and speak to us over the phone for a quick way to get answers to all your questions. We understand that not everyone has perfect credit, so we look at other factors like time on job, time at your current residence to help get you approved.
How much money do I need for a down payment?
It depends on each car and customer. But a good rule of thumb is at least the amount equal to sales tax and tag/title fees. So for example a $5,000 car the sales tax would = $350.00 and the tag/title fees would range from $125.00 - $500.00. Call the office at 941-358-7997 and we can help you with your financing needs.
What if I can't make it during your business hours?

Why two Names? RDR Auto Sales / Northgate Motors
We have been in business for 20 years at the same location here in Sarasota, FL. We are a small family business with no turnover in employees and have a good base of loyal customers. Our name Norhtgate Motors was picked simply because of our location. US 301/ N Washington Blvd & Northgate Blvd. We've had great success and no complaints or problems until a few years ago. Unfortunately a small dealer in Bradenton open a few years ago with a very similar name. He changed only one word (I do not want to type it here because I don't want the association with it on the web) and now our business is easily confused with the other one. Also they run their business different than we do (lets just leave it at that) and the confusion is not a pleasant experiences. We have tried everything and nothing seems to work, so after 20 years we are slowly migrating or name to out legal INC. name... RDR Enterprise INC. or just RDR Auto Sales. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused out loyal customers. Please be assured that nothing has changes other than our name, same great service, same employees, same location, and our 20 years in experience backed by our good word. Thank You
